Sengol

The new Parliament building will be inaugurated on May 28 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The moment will witness the revival of Sengol, which is a symbol of the transfer of power from the British to India. The Sengol will be installed in the new Parliament building on May 28. PM Modi will receive the Sengol from pontiffs of 20 adheenmas from Tamil Nadu after the completion of the rituals. They will hand over the Sengol at 7.20 AM after a 20-minute homam. Modi will then install the Sengol on a pedestal to the right of the Speaker’s chair. He will be accompanied by Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla and pontiffs. Let’s examine the significance of Sengol.

Amit Shah disclosed that the addition of Sengol is a reflection of Amrit Kaal. He also shared images of the Sengol, which was less known to the people especially new-generation kids.

Sengol is a Tamil word for sceptre, which was given to the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in August 1947. The Sengol was handed over by the deputy pontiff of Thiruvavaduthurai adheenam, which is the non-Brahmin Shaivite mutts in Tamil Nadu.

Sengol features five feet ornamental sceptre crowned with the Nandi. While Sengol means righteousness, the Nandi is the symbol of nyaya. The Sengol is made of Silver with a coat of Gold. It will be installed near the chair of the Lok Sabha speaker on May 28 by PM Modi who will be accompanied by Speaker Om Birla.

It was C Rajagopalachari who had requested the leader of the Thiruvavaduthurai Adheenam in Tamil Nadu to sanctify the transfer of power. The Adheenam leader commissioned jewelry shop Vummidi Bangaru Chetty for the manufacture of the Sengol in four weeks. The Sengol was handed over to Lord Mountbatten by a priest of Thiruvavaduthurai Adheenam. The Sengol was then purified with Gangajal.

The handover was celebrated with the singing of special verses from Kolaru Padhigam, which was composed by Tamil poet Tirujnana Sambandar. The purpose of the verses is to remove difficulties. After independence, the sengol has been on display at Nehru’s Collection gallery at the Allahabad Museum. Interestingly, the Sengol was marked as a walking stick by the Congress government.

According to reports, more than 30 members of the adheenams will leave Chennai for New Delhi via chartered flights. PM Modi will personally honor them at his official residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg ahead of the opening ceremony. There are reports that Vummidi Ethirajulu and Vummidi Sudhakar who are involved with the making of the sengol will attend the new Parliament building inauguration function.

United States of Kailasa

In a surprise development, a women representative of the United States of KAILASA created by controversial Godman Nithyananda attended the United Nations meeting held on February 22. They demanded that Nithyananda aka Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism deserves protection and has been persecuted in India.

It looks like the Fiji islands have given asylum to Nithyananda. He has been accused of sexual assault and abuse by several women in India. Moreover, Indian Government has issued notice and also revoked his passport. However, he has been staying in the so-called United States of KAILASA country after fleeing from his ashram in Madurai.

According to reports, Ma Vijayapriya Nithyananda who represents United States of KAILASA attended the 19th United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESR) meeting held on February 22. She asked UN to intervene in the so-called persecution of Nithyananda.

Vijayapriya is being termed as the permanent ambassador from KAILASA in the video shared by the UN. We don’t have any information as to whether KAILASA is recognized by the United Nations. She added the importance of linking sustainable development goals and Hinduism. The founder of her nation is currently being persecuted in his homeland.

KAILASA is the first sovereign state of Hinduism established by the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Nithyananda Paramashivam. He is said to revive the brighter and enlightened Hindu civilisation and its 10000 traditions of Hinduism. The ancient Hindu policies and solutions are in sync with the HIndu principles of KAILASA, which plays a vital role in sustainable development, she adds.

The representative added that the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism and KAILASA were banned from preaching and exiled from his birth country. She asked for UN intervention to stop the persecution of Nithyananda and over two million-strong Hindu population in KAILASA. She also revealed that her nation has established embassies and NGOs in 150 countries.

Interestingly, Nithyananda will arrange tourist visas for three days for people interested to visit KAILASA. They will have to take a special flight to reach Australia and board a special chartered flight arranged by KAILASA. He also claims that his nation has established Reserve Bank and created Kailashian dollar as currency.

Nithyananda is a controversial godman and has been accused of multiple rape cases and child abuse. His video with Tamil film actress Ranjitha went viral on YouTube several years back.
