Naatu Naatu

The viral Naatu Naatu song from SS Rajamouli’s RRR has finally won the coveted Oscars 2023 award under the Best Song category. Music Director MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose accepted the award amidst huge applause. The Naatu Naatu song is the first song from an Indian film to win Oscars in the Best Song category.

The live performance at Dolby theatre was greeted with a standing ovation. Rahul Sipligunj and Kalaa Bairavaa performed the song live on stage as it’s the custom in all Oscar award functions. The dancers took the stage on the wildfire and towards the end the audience was elated and all of them gave a big standing ovation. Among all the dancers, Lauren Gottlieb was noticed by the audience since he resembled the original Ram Charan.

Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli’s RRR had to face a tough competition from Applause (Tell It Like a Woman), Hold My Hand (Top Gun Maverick), Lift Me Up (Black Pather Wakanda Forever), and This is a Life (Everything Everywhere All at Once). MM Keeravaani accepted the Oscars 2023 award with a Namaste and concluded with “Love you all” message. Even though Keeravani had announced retirement in 2014, it was his cousin Rajamouli who took initiative to bring him back. Keeravani composed music for Bahubali 1 and 2, which were accepted by people. Keeravani also promoted his son Kaala Bharriava to the film industry. Kaala rendered Naatu Naatu song along with Rahul. He also performed live at Dolby Studio.

The award function was a gala moment because Naatu Naatu is the second song to win Academy Award after AR Rahman’s Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire in 2009 under the same category. The song created a huge vibe across India with over 126,124,624 views on YouTube, which is the highest among all films.

In addition to Oscars 2023, RRR also won several US awards including Golden Globes, and Critics Choice among others. We expect the film to win Indian national film awards as and when they are due for the announcement.

Keeravani rose to fame during the early 90s as assistant to Music Director Rajamani. He had composed over 250+ songs in Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil. His Malayalam hits include Sooryamanasam, Devaragam, and much more. His simple lifestyle and respect have earned him the award. Enjoy Naatu Naatu song

Kerala Savaari

The much-awaited Kerala Savaari app is now available on Google Play Store. The app will be initially available on Android followed by iOS devices. Even though Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Kerala Savaari service on August 17, the approval of the app from Google got delayed due to unknown reasons. Finally, the Kerala Savaari app had landed on Google Play Store. It will take some time for the people to get familiar with the service.

Kerala Savaari service is a joint initiative of the Kerala Government and the Kerala Motor Welfare Workers Board. The Government is marketing the app by stating that it’s an alternative to Ola and Uber. The main advantage of Kerala Savaari is that the cost is based on fixed rate as announced by Kerala Government. The concept of surge pricing as adopted by Ola/Uber is not implemented on the app. The Government claims that there are over 350 Auto and 200 Taxi workers who have joined the initiative. There are over 25 Women drivers as well. The total number of vehicles is expected to increase when the service gets a wider rollout across Kerala. The service will be available in Kollam, Kochi, and Thrissur over the next 3 months.

You book a ride, get information about the cost and pay accordingly. The payment can be done either via cash or wallet money. The wallet money will be useful only if you are riding frequently. Otherwise, you need to opt for cash. The ride is for a one-time drop and you need to book again to return. The Kerala Savaari app is developed by ITI Limited, Palakkad for Kerala Government. To install the app, you should search for “kerala savaari on the Google Play Store.

Kerala Savari

Kerala Chief Minister has launched the much-awaited Kerala Savari cab service at a function held in Thiruvanathapuram. However, the Kerala Savari app is yet to arrive on Google Play Store and hence the commuters are waiting to ride on autos and cabs. According to reports, Google is delaying the verification due to technical problems with the app. The commuters are unable to book tickets because of the delay. The official claimed that Kerala Savari app will hit Play Store by August 17 afternoon followed by night. It’s well known that Kerala Government’s BevQ approval got delayed after the initial announcement.

Kerala Savari is the first attempt by any state Government in India. The Government claims that drivers are police verified and has integrated several safety measures into the app. The officials revealed that Kerala Savari app provides not only an affordable riding experience but also excellent continued income for motor workers. The service offers improved features when compared with competing cab services such as Ola, Uber, and others. The booking can be canceled by both drivers and riders.

As of this writing, over 302 autos and 226 taxis have registered to become part of Kerala Savari. The attractive part of the Kerala Savari service is that 22 drivers are females. The service will become operational on a trial basis followed by a wider rollout in other cities.

The Kerala Savari app is yet to appear on the Google Play Store. We expect the app to get approval from Google today. The service will lose credibility if the app is delayed beyond that. We wonder why the authorities failed to get approval for the app prior to the official launch.
