Vijay Sangeetha

Varisu is an upcoming Tamil movie with Vijay playing the lead role along with Rashmika Mandanna. However, the latest news from the rumor mills is that Actor Vijay also popularly called Thalapathy Vijay is set to seek divorce from his wife Sangeeta Sornalingam after 23 years of marriage. The couple have two children namely Jason and Divya. It’s to be noted that his son also acted in few films and went to study filming in Canada. As of this writing, Vijay is busy with the promotions and release of his upcoming blockbuster film Varisu. However, there are speculations that Vijay and Sangeetha have already separated after the emergence of Wikipedia entry claiming that the couple have divorced upon mutual consent.

Interestingly, Sangeetha was missing during the Varisu audio launch and Vijay didn’t mention anything about her during his speech. She has also seen missing from Atlee’s wife Priya’s Seemantham aka Baby shower function. According to Pinkvilla who approached a close friend of the couple confirmed that the divorce rumors are not true. Currently, Sangeetha is enjoying holidays in the US and UK along with her children. They revealed that the divorce rumors are baseless and they have no idea as to how it started.

Sangeeta Sornalingam has been inactive on social media for over 164 weeks and has not been posting any recent pictures with Vijay. Moreover, she has been only following the Instagram pages of AR Rahman, Actor Vijay Official Fan Page, and Thalapathy Vijay Fan Page.

Vijay met Sangeetha way back in 1996 during a fan meet. She has roots in Sri Lanka but settled in the UK. She reportedly praised him for his performance in Poove Unakkaga. Vijay got impressed with her dedication and passion. They fell in love and after a short time Vijay introduced her to his parents. The couple got married on August 25, 1999. There was no social medai at that time and hence nobody knows about her marriage unless you had purchased film magazines like Kumudam and Nana.

Varisu will release on Pongal day and will compete heavily with Ajith’s Thnivu. Varisu tells the story of a business tycoon’s son, who is forced to take over the company because of adverse circumstances. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu features Rashmika Mandanna, R Sarath Kumar, Khushbu, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Shaam, and Yogi Babu. Kollam Sudhi, who is well-known for his terrific performances is no more. The emerging 39-year-old actor reportedly died on the spot after a direct collision with a truck near Kaipamangalam at 4.30 AM on June 5. Sudhi’s death came as a rude shock because Malayalam film industry is already under distress after the death of Innocent and Mammukoya.

He was traveling with well-known comedians Binu Adimali, Ullas Aroor, and Mahesh. They were returning after a stage performance in Wayanad. Sudhi is famous for his performances in Flowers TV Star Magic show along with Binu Adimali, Noby, and others. Sudhi is active on social media platforms and also owns a YouTube channel.

Even though Sudhi was rushed to the nearest hospital, the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Kollam Sudhi started his career in 2015 and attracted Malayalam film lovers with his stage presence. He made an attempt to fill the void after the demise of Kalabhavan Mani. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has condoled the untimely death of Sudhi.

Sudhi and his friends were traveling in a car owned by Flowers TV. According to eye witness, Sudhi’s car was on overspeed and directly hit the truck with a huge sound. The rescue operations started immediately but with great difficulty. Sudhi’s friends were initially admitted to a local hospital but were taken to a private hospital in Kochi. There are reports that the car driver could have slept resulting in the tragedy.

The Kerala Story

In a major development, The Kerala Story by Sudipto Sen has reached a major milestone within 9 days of its release. This is a big thing despite the controversies behind the film. The Kerala High Court recently ruled that the film talks about terror and nothing about any particular religion.

The Kerala Story has hit the magical Rs 100 crore club. The Adah Sharma film minted Rs 19.50 crore on May 13, which turned out to be Saturday. Even though Tamil Nadu and West Bengal had banned the film, The Kerala Story sails through the magical figure mark of Rs 100 crore within 9 days of its release. Kerala hasn’t banned the film but the ruling Left Government has reportedly forced the theatre owners to boycott the film.

The Keralas Story only talks about terror and nothing about a particular religion. The Kerala High Court recently dismissed all the petitions by stating that – Why the opposition to a film that talks about terror? With the film grabbing Rs 19.50 crore on Saturday, the overall box office collection has reached Rs 112.87 crore. The film is expected to earn more on Sunday. Interestingly, the BJP-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana had eliminated entertainment tax for the film.

The Kerala Story is the second highest grosser at the box office after Shah Rukh Khan’s controversial film Pathhan. The film will hit a major OTT platform by the first week of June. The makers will decide on the OTT release date. There are reports that OTT platform has bagged the film for a whopping amount.

If the good run continues for The Kerala Story, then the makers will delay the OTT release. We still wonder why Tamil Nadu and West Bengal banned a film that talks about terror. It’s all because of political adjustment. The makers revealed that the film is an awareness to prevent girls from leaving the country and joining terror groups.

The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Day 7: Expected to touch the magic number soon

Published

The Kerala Story

The Kerala Story box office collection Day 7 report is now available. The film is all set to tap the magic number mark by this weekend despite Tamil Nadu and West Bengal banning the film without any valid reason. It looks like political appeasement has played spoilsport. The film has been consistently doing well across India since its release despite the hate from the liberal community. The Kerala High Court has made it clear that film talks about terror and has nothing about a particular community.

According to reports, Sudipto Sen’s film has ended its first week with Rs 80 crore, which is significantly lesser than The Kashmir Files. If this trend continues, The Kerala Story will touch Rs 100 crore by this weekend. With no big releases this week, The Kerala Story will comfortably sweep Rs 100 crore mark by Sunday.

The success of The Kerala Story is important for the Box Office to survive. The film has become the fifth highest-grosser of the year behind Pathaan, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Bholaa. While Adah Sharma played the lead role, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani also played crucial roles.

The film theatres in Kerala are afraid to showcase The Kerala Story because of the fear from the ruling Left party. It’s clear that Tamil Nadu and West Bengal is following political appeasement, which is otherwise called Vote bank politics. However, the film has been made tax-free in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.
