US suspends all Chinese Airlines flights amidst COVID-19 pandemic

Published

Chinese Airlines

The United States hs ordered the immediate suspension of all the flights by Chinese Airlines to and fro from the country with effect from June 16. The development comes in the wake after Beijing failed to allow American carriers to resume services to China.

According to the US Transportation Department (DoT), the US carriers have been asked to resume passenger services starting June 1. However, the Chinese Government has failed to approve their requests, which is a clear violation of the Air Transport Agreement.

Even though the Chinese Airlines suspension order takes effect from June 16, the order will come into force immediately if President Trump signs it. It is unlikely that Trump will sign the petition soon because people would have booked flight tickets. Their journey will be in jeopardy if the US decided to cancel flights all at once.

The US carriers have either reduced or suspended services to China due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, United and Delta Airlines had submitted the required applications at the start of My to resume operations. The airlines failed to get clearance and authorization from Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC).

With the suspension of the Chinese Airlines flights by the US to China, the tensions between the two countries after the eruption of the COVID-19 will increase double-fold. It’s better for the US to suspend flights from China because it will reduce the risk of COVID-19 community spread. We hope the casualty rates will decrease in the US by the middle of June. The US and Chinese airspace were busy before the COVID-19 pandemic with carriers operating over 325 flights per week.

Swapna Suresh, the name not familiar to Kerala people till July 6, is reportedly faced allegations over Gold Smuggling with her associate Sarin. Both were employees at the UAE consulate in Thiruvanathapuram. The Gold Smuggling came into light when suspicious baggage marked as diplomatic was seized by the customs at Thiruvananthapuram airport.

According to reports, customs officials got suspicious when Sarin produced an unauthorized letter. Moreover, Swapna Suresh also telephoned top Customs officials and asked them to hand over the baggage to avoid dire consequences.

The series of events has forced customs to dial their higher officials in New Delhi, who gave green signal to open the baggage. Upon opening, customs seized over 100 kg of Gold imported from the UAE. The consulate attache in Thiruvanathapuram has denied any role in the smuggling and was not aware of Gold inside the baggage. It is learned that Sarin went to collect the baggage with a fake ID.

Bevq app under OTP trouble again after the latest update

Published

Bevq

The much-hyped Bevq app is still in trouble after the initial fiasco. The customers are facing trouble in receiving the OTPs just like we saw during the first day. We visited the official Facebook page of Faircode Technologies and saw comments by several people. The problem reportedly occurred after the customers updated the app.

We tested the Bevq app twice but the OTP not yet delivered so far as of this writing. We are of the opinion that the developer could have disabled the OTP delivery to save SMS costs. We expect the OTP delivery to resume when the booking starts later today for tomorrow. Otherwise, the situation will be pathetic for the Kochi-based Startup Faircode Technologies. The Kerala Government could rethink the partnership with the company if things are not resolved by tomorrow morning.

According to reports, the customers have booked the tokens without any technical glitches yesterday. Normally, the booking for tomorrow’s sale will occur by 6 PM or 6 AM tomorrow as per the instructions given by BEVCO.

The Bevq app received a 2.5 rating on Google Play Store, which is low for an app. However, the drinkers won’t often check the reviews before the purchase. However, the Play Store reviews are critical for startup companies like Faircode. The future potential clients of Faircode will most probably check the reviews and feedback before entering into the contract with them. Hence, it is compulsory for the company to regain momentum by rectifying the faults.
