Mammootty’s CBI 5 Title Reveal Motion Poster Release Today

The title reveal motion poster of Mammootty’s upcoming blockbuster CBI 5 will be released at 5 PM on February 26. The actor took to Twitter and revealed the date and the relevant poster. In the poster, Mammootty is seen facing backward with his hands tied together, which was his typical style since the first version of CBI.

Moreover, the Inspector Balaram actor shared the YouTube Premiere Link, which goes live at 5 PM. The title motion poster will be revealed via Saina Movies YouTube channel.

The CBI 5 is a sequel to the previous CBI series and the script has been written by the same SN Swamy. Mammootty will be back as Sethurama Iyer and the background music is still inside the people’s mind.

The makers have tried to incorporate legendary comedian Jagathy Sreekumar also. The shooting of his portion was completed recently in Thiruvanathapuram. It’s to be noted that Jagathy played a vital role in the first CBI film as Vikram. The CBI 5 will have Soubin Shahir, Kaniha, Dileesh Pothan among others. The CBI 5 is directed by K Madhu with music composed by Jakes Bejoy.

On the work front, Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam will release on March 3 followed by Puzhu on April 14.

AMMA Denies Removal of Vocal Critic Shammy Thilakan

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has categorically dismissed media reports that actor Shammy Thilakan was ousted from the organization. Shammy, son of legendary actor Thilakan has been not in good terms with the AMMA over the past several months due to differences of opinion. The film body had initiated disciplinary proceedings against the actor on charges of code of conduct violation. The issue was that he tried to record a meeting of the association in December 2021.

According to Siddique, AMMA treasurer, Shammy is very much part of the organization and will take action only after hearing his side. He added that only AMMA executive committee can expel members, which will take action in due course after hearing Shammy’s reply.

The actor also said that majority of AMMA members accepted the fact that action should be taken against Shammy Thilakan as he was speaking against the organization via social media and other platforms. Shammy didn’t reply properly when asked why he captured the meeting on his smartphone. The Kireedam actor has questioned the working of all the actors including that of AMMA on several occasions.

Recently, Shammy Thilakan slammed the association for protecting Vijay Babu, who is currently trapped in a #MeToo sexual assault case. Shammy had shared a Facebook post of Hareesh Peradi regarding this issue. Shammy has been a vocal critic and often speaks on various issues identical to his Father. Peradi resigned from the association in protest against the actions of the office-bearers. AMMA made it clear that Vijay Babu hasn’t been expelled from the organization and his mother attended the Annual General Body Meeting held on June 26. Edavela Babu also landed in a controversy when he termed AMMA a club.

Madhavan Releases Rocketry Variant Of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam

Actor Madhavan has released Rocketry variant of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam. The rendition has already received rave reviews on YouTube and Twitter. The actor has released the song ahead of the release of his pet project Rocketry – The Nambi Effect film, which is scheduled to hit theatres on July 1. The film features Madhavan in the lead with Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan appearing in cameo roles. The Alaipayuthey-actor took to Twitter to announce the release of the song.

The Rocketry edition of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam runs over 27 minutes in a medium-paced manner. The background is filled with science effects, planets, and other related properties. The song video begins with a picture of Madhavan, who appear as Nambi Narayanan, who worked with ISRO and was wrongfully trapped in an infamous ISRO Spy Scandal. The song then displays the Gopuram of the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple located in Thiruvanathapuram. The lyrics of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam are displayed in English. We liked the way the singers have rendered Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam beautifully.

Rocketry’s Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam was arranged and produced by Divakar Subramaniam. The chorus involves Vignesh G, Sai Vignesh, Venkataramanan L, Nikhil Shankar, Vikram Pitty, and Dan Konopka worked as mastering engineer.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a multi-lingual film with Madhavan playing the lead role along with Simran. Madhavan portrays the role of Nambi Narayanan. The story revolves around the life of Nambi who worked with ISRO and was charged with transferring confidential secrets to enemy countries. He was alleged to have been brutally tortured in police custody. The case was initially handled by Kerala police but was transferred to CBI. Nambi Narayanan was finally acquitted by the Supreme Court of all the charges. The court also ordered the state to pay adequate compensation.

While Simran plays Mira Narayanan, Rajit Kapoor & Ravi Raghubendra portray the roles of Vikram Sarabhai in Hindi/English and Tamil versions respectively. Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan appear in cameo roles. In an interview with a leading English online portal, Madhavan revealed that both Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan acted in the film without charging any payment. Suriya didn’t even ask for hotel, costumes, and flight charges.

The release of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was postponed several times due to COVID-19 pandemic. Even though Madhavan could have easily released the film via OTT platform, he was reportedly adamant for a theatrical release. The film will reportedly be available on either Amazon Prime Video or Netflix by the end of July 2022.

Suresh Gopi donates money as promised ahead of #SG255

A promise is a Promise – Note a Penny Less – Not a Penny More. Suresh Gopi has handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the Mimicry Artist Association (MAA) from the advance he received for an upcoming film codenamed #SG255. Actor turned Director Nadir Shah accepted the cheque on behalf of MAA because he was part of Mimicry during his early days. The Commissioner actress has been constantly supporting Mimicry Artists, who are facing problems due to the current pandemic situation. The upcoming film will be produced by Listin Stephen under the banner @magicframes2011.

The COVID-19 lockdown has spoiled the lives of Mimicry Artists because of absence of stage shows, foreign tours, and others. While few artists were able to survive from the bank balance, several people suffered and it was film actors like Suresh Gopi who helped them to climb. The amount will be used for the welfare of Mimicry artists. As of this writing, Suresh Gopi has contributed over Rs 6 lakhs from his advance.

Suresh Gopi’s Pappan will hit the theaters by July end. There were reports that makers made an attempt to release the film by June end. However, the plan was postponed due to the release of Kaduva starring Prithviraj Sukumaran under Shaji Kailas directorial. You should note that Suresh Gopi maintain good relations with Kailas because he had acted under his direction during late 90’s. All the film of the duo were super hit during that time. With changing times, Shaji Kailas has roped in Prithviraj to catch the attention of youngsters.
